Front windows and most of the sliding.

In the next post you'll see what else happened today. Here, you can see the progress with the new garden and living room windows. We chose a heavy tint for the living room and south windows, to assuage the afternoon summer sun. We love our farm house. It has been perfect for us, but the added touches will just be dandy. Mainly, no more painting, just fire up a light pressure washer and walk away happy.

Sheet rock delivery.

Today was a wild one. We woke to rain pouring and knowing the sheet rock was to be delivered today. I went to pick up Vance and Arya and when we returned a big truck was along side the shop. After parking the van in the garage and we were in the house the truck pulled into the driveway. Not know the original plan I thought they were to be unloaded into the driveway and humped into the addition. Bill was busy giving the appraiser the tour, so I just grabbed Arya and the camera. Vance was upstairs playing Xbox and that's safe. I managed a shot out the front. Mike has a couple on his cell phone and they'll show up soon. I toted Arya and the camera back to the addition and I was stunned to find they weren't just unloaded the stack onto the deck. The driver, who was also running the "game type controller" maneuvered the arm right up to the bedroom door. Released one set of arms and slid the sheet rock onto a cart. They moved it to an inside wall, unloaded it and went back for the second half of the load. Awesome. Geez, I remember when we finished some work at the Mt Vernon house and it was all packin' the sheet rock by hand.
