Like there isn't enough going on with the addition, we're also doing a few things at the same time or when it's too nasty outside. Ultimately, when the addition is completed, Mike will strip the exterior. We, as our neighbor Kathy has found, paint won't stick to the surface. So, there'll be new windows, the house wrapped and then Hardiplak on the exterior. We've decided to have it color toned, because I'm not hauling out a paint brush or sprayer ever again. So, with that in mind, one has to also make all future thought either happen now or skip them forever. The entry porch has been a thorn in our side since we moved here. Anyone who has been to the farm know when you come in the porch door you're greeted by the freezer, safe, washer dryer and whatever else happens to be out there. The front door hasn't had steps or access since the steps were removed. Sooooo, yesterday the porch door was removed and studded in. Today the plumber was here to move washer dryer to the north end. Where the window is in the second picture, there'll be an entry door tomorrow. This whole thing is like a giant jigsaw puzzle, but with moving part/plans. We appreciate Mike's willingness to "roll with the punches" since it's a plan is in flux.
This rear view will be changing.

Jean, this is going to look so good and be so functional! I can't wait to see it in person. I never really thought about your porch/entry, but now that you say that, yeah, it's going to make so much more sense!
So funny about Arya's face when she saw the door...
